August 2, 2022 Primary Election Info

On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court of Ohio issued a court order which permitted additional candidates to appear on the ballot for the August 2, 2022 Primary Election. Therefore, additional candidates may be added to the ballot. Once candidate petition verification and certification is complete, candidate lists will be updated.

The next election in Perry County will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Voters will be selecting their nominations for State Senator and State Representative and will also be voting on State Central Committee.

Voters must select the Democratic or Republican ballot in order to vote. There are not any issues on the ballot, therefore if you are not selecting one of the party ballots, there will not be anything for you to vote on.

August 2, 2022 Primary Election Early Voting Hours

Last Day to Register to Vote: July 5th 9:00pm at the Board of Elections Office.

Early Voting Hours:

  • July 6th– July 8th 8-am-5pm
  • July 11th– July 15th 8am-5pm
  • July 18th– July 22nd 8am-5pm
  • July 25th -- July 29th 8am-7pm
  • July 30th 8am-4pm
  • July 31st 1pm-5pm
  • August 1st 8 am-2pm


August 2nd Election Day - Polls Open: 6:30am-7:30 pm. All voters must vote at their polling locations. The board office is not open for voting on Election Day.


The General Election will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. 

This election will be the final election for several State Offices, County Commissioner and County Auditor.
